Fire Sprinkler Safety Act Signed Into Law.

-2005 Wisconsin Act 78 directs Wisconsin's private college residence halls, fraternities and sororities to maintain the same level of fire safety standards already in place at the state's public residence halls and dormitories. The new law also mirrors public university standards through requirements adding sprinklers to residence halls taller than 60 feet, and installation of sprinklers in newly-constructed residence halls, sororities and fraternities. Pictured above are members of the Wisconsin Fire Sprinkler Coalition with Governor Jim Doyle after Assembly Bill (AB) 544 was signed into law on 12/22/2005 at a public ceremony at the State Capitol.

Monthly Stamp
-We have been paying our monthly stamp out of the vacation fund since July, 2003. Please be current with your stamps to make this a smooth transition. As long as a member works at least 17 hours per month in our jurisdiction, the stamp will be paid out of their vacation fund. Those members who work less than 17 hours per month in our jurisdiction, and retired members, will still have to pay by check. Effective January 1, 2007 the monthly stamp will go to $25.00 for active members and $20.00 for retirees.
